After many months, we are happy to announce Intro Revamp, Night-Time Open PvP And Instances Update for Nightmare you can find below this the patch notes.


Based on the feedback we received over the past few months, we have completely revamped the intro and lower level experience - giving it not only more direction in terms of how to play, but also a much smoother experience. You can help us create a successful relaunch by starting a new character and trying out the start of the game afresh, then relaying any feedback to the team.

  • Earl the Grey now refers to Jelli as "Jelli" instead of slimes,
  • Fixed a server vulnerability,
  • Fixed a visual bug with fire basins,
  • Fixed Speed up and Slow spells
  • Fixed Registration GUI,
  • Fixed blocking issues with some Obelisks,
  • Fixed a bug where picking up items would crash the game,
  • Fixed cooldown on Kamikaze being 0. It's now set at 18s,
  • Fixed a bug where forgetting multiple spells sometimes wouldn't forget certain spells,
  • Fixed animations such as fire basins having rendering issues,
  • Fixed Leather Tunic paperdoll graphic not showing,
  • Sniper : Fixed the jittery targeting icon,

  • Peter at the Help Desk now offers the option: "Where can I buy stuff?" instead of "Where can I buy weapons and armor in town?",
  • When Peter asks "Anything else I can help you with?" it will now show his name in the text field,
  • Set gear to require a static level, rather than changing according to the level of the player that farmed it. This should help improve the resale of items. A side effect of this change may result in the recalculation of stats for certain items however this is a much needed change for the future of the game so we hope you can respect this,
  • Removed random equipment rare effect generation. We want gear to feel unique and have more individual purpose within the game and we think the current method contradicts what we want to achieve here. Gear can still be crafted using carbuncles for exact effects though (hopefully giving crafting more purpose),
  • Earl the Grey's dialogue regarding abilities has been changed to: "To use abilities simply open your Ability Book menu and click on the ability you wish to use. Alternatively you can drag abilities and items to the hotbar located at the top right of the screen.",
  • Earl the Grey will now initially reward a recall ability for the Imperial Training Grounds called "Soldier's Rest". After you kill the God of the Shrooms he will award "Wings of Odium", which teleports the player the the northwest corner of Odium,
  • Since pvp games can happen at the same time now due to map instancing, we have added a PVP spectate window to select which match you wish to spectate,
  • The previously VIP exclusive Testing Grounds can be now accessed on the test server through the Testers Realm (accessed through /debug),
  • When speaking to Lucid during Dangerous Ties the option to learn about Black Shadow League will simply say "Black Shadow League?" instead of "Who is the Black Shadow League?",
  • Updated "The Meeting" quest description,
  • Added passive spells to equipment via code, this will be rolled out in future patches,
  • Players can now attack for all times of day in PVP dungeons,
  • Players can now attack other players on the over-world during night time. (Admins too!),
  • Smart AoE spells now rotate,
  • Players PVP ELO has been reset,
  • Force NPC's to reset once we stop processing it,
  • Removed raid boss time limit,
  • Class Selection quest from General Dirk is now called Forging A Path,

Added Map Instancing:

  • Converted raids to use instanced maps
  • Converted player houses to used instanced maps
  • Converted the arena to use instanced maps
  • Converted PvE dungeons to use map instances.
  • Implemented Guild Bases using instanced maps from a code standpoint. (This feature will be rolled out over the course of the next patch as we have some in game event work to hook it up properly.)
  • Bosses will no longer respawn on instanced maps and the player(s) must complete the dungeon again to fight the boss again. Bosses will continue to respawn in PVP dungeons as normal, we hope this will encourage more people to fight over the boss spawns when we re-release.

Players can now access the Barracks on the Imperial Training Grounds (Starting Zone):

  • Set up an Obelisk on the Training Grounds. Benton gives more information on saving your spawn point near this Obelisk.
  • General Dirk will now introduce himself in the Imperial Barracks after completing Earl the Grey and Benton's quests
  • Class trainers are now located in the Imperial Barracks

Fishing Changes

  • All fishing skill tiers now have improved drop rates,

Chance to catch fish based on Fishing skill:

  • Level 1 - 35% chance,
  • Level 10 - 40% chance,
  • Level 20 - 45% chance,
  • Level 30 - 50% chance,
  • Level 40 - 55% chance,
  • Level 50 - 60% chance,
  • Level 60 - 65% chance,
  • Level 70 - 70% chance,
  • Level 80 - 75% chance,
  • Level 90 - 80% chance,
  • Level 100 - 85% chance.

Class Changes

Arcanist:

All Seeing Eye -> Decaying Wastelands:

  • Smart AoE that Reduces enemies Wisdom by 30% and blinds for 6s,
  • Cast time 750ms -> 400ms.

Cryogenics:

  • Stun -> Slow.
  • Duration 4000ms -> 6000ms.

Eruption:

  • Reworked into Smart AoE.

Maelstrom:

  • Reworked into Smart AoE.

Assassin:

Fatal Wound

  • Cast Time 300ms -> 0ms.

Poison Dagger -> Wind Slash NEW:

  • Smart AoE directional slash attack
  • 100ms cast time
  • 8000ms cooldown
  • 25% critical hit chance
  • 50 Base Damage

Thorny Pitfall::

  • Single trap changed to a new Smart AoE trap with a wider radius.
  • Duration 60s -> 30s .
  • Traps now instantly detonate if placed on top of an enemy

Spellblade:

Expose:

  • Cast Time 250ms -> 0ms
  • Cooldown 25000ms -> 5000ms

Quantum Vortex:
